LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - "Nip/Tuck" stars Dylan Walsh and Julian McMahon have carved out nice pay bumps for the hit FX drama's upcoming fourth season, sources said.
Walsh, who plays Dr. Sean McNamara, and McMahon, who plays Dr. Christian Troy, are understood to have each received a combination of a cash bonus and a per-episode fee increase brining their total compensation up to the $1.6 million-$1.8 million range, or more than $100,000 for each of the 15 episodes. That is believed to be almost double what the two received for the show's third season.
The pay increases came from the network, not Warner Bros. TV, which produces the series with Shephard/Robin Prods., sources said. FX and Warner Bros. declined comment on the matter Thursday, as did the actors' representatives.
"Nip/Tuck," from creator/executive producer Ryan Murphy, had a strong third season, despite switching from the summer to the more competitive fall period. The two-hour finale in December, which unmasked the Carver, a serial slasher whose identity was under wraps the entire season, drew 5.7 million total viewers, the largest audience ever for an FX original series.
Production on the show's fourth season is scheduled to begin Tuesday.
